The house by the river

from Time is the perfect gift by AbgabbA

/

lyrics

I enter the house through a green parlor,
Where little light shines, creepings of the day.

A gift bestowed to a grieving daughter,
Crooked eves cast great shadows to the bank.

Always in the background luring me to roam her hallways.

There's a room for every mood or thought here,
A place where I can be all alone.

You can't see the river below,
Fog has risen to the yellow windows.

Brown water glimmers, the wake of a barge,
A feeling of youth and revulsion in one

Did time forget you or did it embrace you?
The beauty of an era in the age of sin.

Something long forgotten calls to me in early morning.

Beware the farmer fields of ill-maintain,
Hope bloomes on rusted shores demand your gaze.

Don't get too close to the river,

River runs too deep.
